COOPERSVILLE, Mich., Sept. 4, 2013 – A five-hour electric interruption has been scheduled to begin at 2 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7 to allow utility crews to make repairs to electric equipment in the substation that serves most of the city of Coopersville and portions of Polkton, Crockery, Ravenna and Sullivan townships.

            Approximately 2,700 electric customers will be affected in the area, which is approximately bordered to the south by Leonard Street in Polkton Township; to the east by 56th Avenue and to the west by Crockery Creek and includes much of Coopersville. In Muskegon County, the affected area is generally bordered to the east by Ravenna Road and to the north by Harding Road in Ravenna Township and to the west by Ensley Road in Sullivan Township.

            The outage is scheduled to last until 7 a.m. If necessary, the project back-up date is 2-7 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 8.  Postcards regarding the outage have been mailed to the affected customers.
