COOPERSVILLE, Mich.—Keyser's Port City Racing is expanding.

During the city council meeting Monday, October 14, owner Scott Keyser plans to present his request for a tax break for more than $641,000 in manufacturing equipment the Coopersville racing parts manufacturer bought this year.  In a memo sent to the city clerk, Keyser says the new equipment will keep more of the company's production process in house, leading to eight new jobs at the facility, located at 540 Danforth St.

Approximately 75 percent of annual sales by Keyser's Port City Racing come from parts built in Coopersville.  The remaining 25 percent is from items sold out of its warehouse.
