COOPERSVILLE, Mich.—Coopersville is home to Michigan’s Agriculture Exporter of the Year.

The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will visit Continental Dairy’s West Randall Street facility Wednesday morning to honor the company.

‘“Continental Dairy's focus on quality and innovation has leveraged their expansion into new markets and significant export sales growth,” said Jamie Clover Adams, MDARD director. “We applaud Continental Dairy for their industry leadership and the key role they are playing to grow and diversify our state’s economy.”

Michigan is second in the nation for agricultural diversity and exports.  In 2012, state exports generated $3.25 billion and were responsible for more than 20,000 state jobs.
