SPARTA, Mich. (ChoiceOne Bank) — ChoiceOne Bank recently announced the appointments of Kyle Purdy, Carrie Olson and Angela Anderson, along with staff changes for Patricia Brown, Peggy O’Dea, Dan Wheat and Tina Hall.

“As we continue to grow and expand in the communities we serve, it is necessary for us to expand our levels of expertise and customer service,” explained James Bosserd, President and CEO of ChoiceOne Bank. “As the local community bank, our culture is centered on our customers. That means having experienced, caring and professional staff that serve our customers exceptionally well. I am pleased to announce these internal changes.”

Kyle Purdy is appointed to Vice President, Controller. He began his career with ChoiceOne Bank in August 2013 as Controller. Purdy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Grand Valley State University in 2003 and an MBA from GVSU in 2008.

Carrie Olson is appointed to Assistant Vice President – Alpine Branch Manager. She began her career with the Bank in October 2012 as Alpine Branch Manager. Olson has over 14 years of banking experience with a focus on customer service.

Angela Anderson is appointed to Officer – Marketing Officer. Anderson joined ChoiceOne over five years ago as a teller. She moved to the Marketing Department in 2013 as Marketing Coordinator, and was promoted to Marketing Specialist in 2014. Anderson graduated from Davenport University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialty in Entrepreneurship.

Patricia Brown is promoted to Regional Branch Manager, Coopersville Branch Manager. She is the Bank’s CRA Officer and has worked for ChoiceOne for 18 years. Brown graduated from Baker College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management.

Peggy O’Dea is promoted to Business Development Officer for the Bank’s Coopersville,

Ravenna, Egelston, and Kent City branches. O’Dea began her career with ChoiceOne Bank in 2008 as a branch manager at the Cedar Springs office and worked her way up to regional manager for the Bank. O’Dea is a member of the Coopersville Rotary Club, Coopersville DDA Board and the Coopersville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She will continue to work out of the Coopersville office.

Dan Wheat is promoted to Commercial Lender for ChoiceOne’s Grant, Newaygo, and Fremont branches. Wheat began his career with ChoiceOne Bank in 1977. He graduated in 1990 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Graduate School of Banking. He will continue to work out of Grant branch office.

Tina Hall is promoted to Grant Branch Manager. Hall joined ChoiceOne in September of 2013. She graduated from Baker College in Muskegon with an associate degree in Applied Science.
