Connected Chamber Women 2011

Connected Chamber Women is an exciting blend of chambers coming together to meet the challenges business women share.  Our mission statement is designed to encompass all facets of being women.  CCW is comprised of women from the Wayland, Cutlerville Gaines, Byron Center, Kenwood Wyoming, Allendale, Grandville Jenison, Coopersville, Calendonia, Hudsonville and Barry County Chambers.  99 women attended our first CCW meeting in June 2011.

Our second meeting will take place on Friday, October 7th from Noon - 1:30 p.m. at Davenport University.  Plenty of time will be allotted to network, enjoy lunch and also hear an inspirational message from Kathey Batey, Spirited Presentations LLC.

The political climate is changing in Lansing.  It seems that leadership is genuinely attempting to restore Michigan's economic strength.  
 
The Coopersville Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to bring three of our local legislators to our community to discuss the challenges and opportunities available to your business.  
 
Joining us will be U.S. House of Representative Bill Huizinga for District 2; State Representative Dave Agema with the 74th District; State Senator Arlan Meekhoff from District 30 and moderated by WZZM TV 13's Senior Reporter Peter Ross.
 
This program will also include input from you, so bring your questions that address your priorities and your challenges.

"Try It Local" deal service launched between Allendale & Coopersville communities

The Allendale Area Chamber of Commerce and Coopersville Area Chamber of Commerce are cooperatively launching a new program called Try It Local, an electronic discount program featuring local retailers, restaurants, service providers and more.  New deals are offered one day per week at a deep discount of 40 – 90% off regular price (i.e., $20 of food and drink at a restaurant for $10).  The offers are delivered to Try It Local subscribers via email, social media, and TryItLocal.com.  There is no cost to sign up for Try It Local, just visit http://www.tryitlocal.com/AllendaleCoopersville/ to receive deal alerts.  There is also no cost for companies to offer a deal; businesses interested in being featured can visit www.TryItLocal.com, or contact either the Allendale or Coopersville Chambers directly for details.

Coopersville Chamber of Commerce Legislative Luncheon

Monday, June 27th, Coopersville Reformed Church, 11:15 - 1:00 p.m.

Join us for our first ever Legislative Luncheon to hear Rep. Bill Huizinga, Rep. Dave Agema and Senator Arlan Meekhoff speak in an open forum.  Moderated by Peter Ross, senior Reporter for WZZM-TV (ABC), the politicians will share what they have experienced during their first six months in office.  With a mass of leadership changes after the 2010 election, this luncheon promises to shed some light on political, legislative changes occurring for both businesses and citizens.

A full luncheon will be served by Above & Beyond Catering.  Cost is just $15.00 for any West Michigan Chamber member and $18.00 for Non-Members or Future Members.
