Bunny Train Begins Again on Saturday
Bunny Train Begins Again on Saturday

The Bunny Train is hopping again starting this Saturday, March 16, 2013 on the Coopersville & Marne Railway. Passengers will take a one hour and twenty minute excursion through the Spring Time country-side. The Easter Bunny and her cast of musical characters perform in each of the cars. The train's "Springtime Princess" will also read children's books and lead the passengers in springtime songs. Kids receive a surprise at the end of the ride, and they may also see other bunnies out the train windows.

The cost of the train is $15.50 for aduls, $14.50 for Seniors (60+), Kids (2-12) are $13.50, and kids younger than two years old are free. The train will run Saturday at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm.

The Coopersville & Marne Railway train has antique passengers cars, which date from the early part of the last century. Since 1990, the railway has taken passengers out into the countryside and through family owned farmlands, crossing over an open deck girder bridge, four creeks and one road bridge before arriving at the Village of Marne. The 1950's era diesel locomotive then pulls the train back to the City of Coopersville. The 14 mile excursion lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes.

During the summer months, regular trains on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Prior to Easter, the  Bunny Trains run on Saturdays. Other theme trains are the Troop Trains for Memorial Day, the Great Train Robbery, The Famous Pumpkin Train, and The Santa Train. And, of course, throughout the year we run our charters for a variety of groups for a variety of reasons.
