Waste water treatment facility upgrade gets the green light

COOPERSVILE, Mich.—A $120,000 upgrade to Coopersville’s waste water treatment facility is moving forward.

On July 15, city officials approved plans to automate the city’s dechlorination process by replacing the city’s current 55 gallon storage containers with a 5,000 gallon drum. The project will be paid for using the city’s waste water treatment fund.

City officials have already met with engineers to finalize plans for the project.  The City is expected to begin the project bidding process within the next couple weeks.
