COOPERSVILLE, Mich.—A Coopersville High School senior is one step closer to potentially becoming the next Miss Michigan.

Allison Adams won the Miss Lighthouse Coast 2014 scholarship competition in Muskegon this past weekend. She plans to use the $500 scholarship towards pursing a degree in math and art.  Adams currently holds a 4.026 grand point average.

Adams will compete against 33 other contestants during the Miss Michigan pageant at the Frauenthal Center for Performing Arts in June.  Her platform is “digging deeper into low self-esteem”.  The competition will take place June 12-14, with the winner being crowned June 14.
