My Town Coopersville: City offers mailbox replacements for those damaged by plows | Families
COOPERSVILLE, Mich.—As the snow melts and the plows are stored for the season, many homeowners are now looking to replace mailboxes damaged during snow clearing.
The City of Coopersville may provide some relief. Homeowners whose mailbox was damaged by city snow plows may be eligible to receive a new standard mailbox or a 4” x 4” wood post. To begin the process, property owners should call Coopersville City Hall at (616) 997-9731 to report damage. A city employee will then visit the property to verify, note and determine if the damage was caused by city snow equipment. At that point, the property owner will be given further directions to contact the Department of Public Works to pick up a new mailbox or post.
