Pancakes for a Purpose

Please join the Walker Firefighter's Association for a Benefit Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, April 30th from 8:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. at Station #3 located at 1470 3 Mile Road in Walker. A mimimum $5 donation is suggested (but feel free to give lots, lots, more to this wonderful cause!)  All proceeds will go to help two firefighter's families. First is the family of firefighter Tomas Tygesen who passed away suddenly this passed November as a result of a siezure. He leaves behind a wife Kim, and three children. Secondly the monies will also help Firefighter Chad Byrd, his wife Melissa and daughter Hadleigh (who was born during Chad's treatment). Chad was diagnosed with bone cancer in his leg, subsequently had a cadaver bone transplanted into his leg and has undergone an intense series of Chemo Therapy. Chad will be off of work for at least a year.

Keller Ford and Local Community to Raise as much as $6,000 for Coopersville High School

Coopersville, MI – Ford Motor Company and Keller Ford are partnering to help raise money in support of Coopersville Football as part of Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program. Members of the local Coopersville community will have the opportunity to raise up to $6,000 for their high school football team by test driving a Ford vehicle at Coopersville High School on Saturday, April 16th from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

For every person who test drives one of the following,  2011 Taurus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Fiesta, Focus, F-150, F-250, Flex, Escape or Edge, Keller Ford will donate $20 to Coopersville High School. The school will be using the proceeds for the football program.

“We’re excited to help raise money for school and at the same time introduce parents, teenagers and other drivers to our high quality lineup and innovative safety technologies,” said Robert Keller, Owner of Keller Ford.

Spring Petting Zoo starts Saturday, April 2

COOPERSVILLE, Mich. - The Coopersville Farm Museum's Spring Petting Zoo will begin on Saturday, April 2 and continue every Saturday through the month of April.

Hours are 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and admission is just $3.

Mark your calendars for the Coopersville PTA Carnival on Friday March 25, 2011, from 5:30 P.M.-8:30 P.M. at South Elementary. Come enjoy the games for all ages, including the cake walks, and the gold fish tosses. There will be face and hair painting, cotton candy, and Sno-cones. Food will be available on-site all evening. Advance ticket sales are available at 5 tickets for $1.00.
