Coopersville to consider replacing marijuana moratorium with ordinance

COOPERSVILLE, Mich.—After extending a moratorium on Michigan’s medical marijuana law for years, Coopersville city commissioners are getting ready to consider a proposed ordinance involving medical marijuana.

During their meeting May 20, city attorney Crystal Morgan updated the planning commission on changes to and lawsuits involving state and federal medical marijuana laws.  Morgan will be preparing a draft ordinance for the City and planning commission to review.

City Clerk Kimberly Borgman says the proposed ordinance may be reviewed by planning commissioners as soon as July 15.
