OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. (WZZM)-- A pregnant woman is recovering this morning after she hit a deer with her car in Ottawa County.

Deputies say the 24 year old Muskegon woman was driving Eastbound on I-96 in Polkton Township. That's between Nunica and Coopersville. She hit a deer near mile marker 14 around 9:35 Friday night.

She was taken to the hospital for complaints of stomach pain. Her back seat passenger, a 41 year old from Bangor, was also taken to Hackley Hospital for neck pain.

Both injuries are non-life threatening. Both people were wearing their seat belts.
