The 2011 class of Leadership West Michigan (LWM) graduated on December 15, 2011. The class of 27 participated in 8 day sessions over the past 4 months which included a two day bus tour of the region and culminated in Regional Trustee day and graduation.

Benefit for The Privacky Family

Coopersville MI -Breakfast Benefit and Live Auction – On Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to noon, the Coopersville VFW located on 511 N. 68th Ave. in Coopersville, will be having a Breakfast Benefit with proceeds going to the Privacky family. 

The Privacky family lost both of their children to a car accident in December.

This yummy breakfast consists of: Pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage links, coffee and juice will be served.  Cost is by donation only.  Live Auction begins at 1:00 p.m.

Ride with the FUN GUY! Everyone loves Santa and Santa loves kids. Each of our vintage passenger cars has a special seat reserved just for the Big Guy and his friends.                 

Elves will escort the children to sit with Santa. All kids get a present, even the shy ones! Our story-telling Princess will read from the book, "The Polar Express" which was written by Grand Rapids native, Chris Van Allsburg.

Local author Tobin T. Buhk will be visiting the Coopersville Public Library on Thusday, December 8th at 8:00 pm. He will be there to discuss his latest book True Crime: Michigan - The State's Most Notorious Crime Cases.

Coopersville Election Results

Elections were held throughout the country on Tuesday. In  Coopersville, voters had just one race to vote on.

Six people were in the running for three available City council seats. Charlie VanderKolk, Larry Crandle and James Ward came out on top with Tim Palko, Dan Cooke and Bradley Sprague falling short.

Voter turnout for the election was low at just over fifteen percent with 444 votes being cast.
