Peg Alogs Becker of Jenison, Michigan specializes in nature photography and takes long walks with her husband. “God creates such incredible beauty… if we would only stop and look now and then.”  The Kent Trail, the Kal Haven Trail, the city, county, and state parks are all full of beauty and wonder.  With four incredible seasons, so strongly defined here in Michigan, it is a photographer’s paradise.

Fat Toaster Farm is owned and operated by Zach and Lindsay Oaster.  They specialize in Scottish Highland cattle, Jacob and Shetland Sheep, and mixed-breed, free-range chickens.  They also have rabbits, barn cats, and house cats.  These animals are the focus of the exhibit at the Coopersville Farm Museum.

Meet the Artist reception honoring Linda Foley

From: Coopersville

A Meet the Artist reception honors Linda Foley at the Coopersville United Methodist Church, 105 N. 68th Avenue, Coopersville, Michigan on Sunday, January 30, 2011, from 6pm – 7pm.

The Coopersville United Methodist Church is pleased to offer local artists the opportunity to share their work and would like to invite the public to view the latest exhibit. Foley’s watercolor paintings are located in the Fellowship Room where more than 15 pieces will remain on display for the next couple months.

Foley has studied with nationally known artists – Sal Harris, Roland Roycraft, Joe Fettingis, Nita Engle, Liam Chen and Tony Couch – to find solid ways to interpret the glow in her soul. A happy blend of talent, she now revisits music from a different angle.
