COOPERSVILLE, Mich.—City council members Monday night will vote on potential repairs to the Department of Public Works building, which has been damaged by the harsh West Michigan winters.

City Manager Steven Patrick says ice buildup over the past few years has damaged the DPW building’s roof, rain gutters and down spouts.  He says the building also has leaks.

Patrick is calling on city council members to have Miedema Metal Building Systems repair the steel structure as soon as weather allows.  The repairs would cost an estimated $7,879.

Monday’s city council meeting begins at 7 p.m.
