Middle School to Perform Willy Wonka

The Coopersville Middle School Musical, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory will run April 28, 29 and 30 at the Centerstage Theatre at Coopersville High School. The show will run at 7:00 p.m. nightly.  Ticket prices are as follows:  Reserved Seating for Adults, $6.00, Students and Seniors, $4.00.  General seating ( Upper section of auditorium)  $5.00 and $3.00.  All tickets purchased at the door will be general admission/seating.   Tickets are on sale two weeks prior to the show and will be available from any cast members or at the Centerstage ticket office at the high school from 2:45 to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday April 18 through the run of the show. Unfortunately Tickets are not available online for this show.  Tickets will be available at the door.  David Inbody directs this family favorite. Don't miss the fun. Keller Ford and Local Community to Raise as much as $6,000 for Coopersville High School

Coopersville, MI – Ford Motor Company and Keller Ford are partnering to help raise money in support of Coopersville Football as part of Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program. Members of the local Coopersville community will have the opportunity to raise up to $6,000 for their high school football team by test driving a Ford vehicle at Coopersville High School on Saturday, April 16th from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

For every person who test drives one of the following,  2011 Taurus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Fiesta, Focus, F-150, F-250, Flex, Escape or Edge, Keller Ford will donate $20 to Coopersville High School. The school will be using the proceeds for the football program.

“We’re excited to help raise money for school and at the same time introduce parents, teenagers and other drivers to our high quality lineup and innovative safety technologies,” said Robert Keller, Owner of Keller Ford.

Coopersville Varsity Baseball to face Zeeland West tonight

COOPERSVILLE, Mich. - The Coopersville Boys Varsity Baseball team will travel to Zeeland West this evening. The game starts at 4:15 pm.

They will face Kent City High School tomorrow at Coopersville. Wednesday's game also starts at 4:15 pm.

Filmed last summer in Coopersville MI. and on the Campus of Coopersville Area Public Schools, this great story incorporates hundreds of extras from the West Michigan area. On a crisp Ohio night in the fall of 1996, the best high school quarterback in the country shattered his knee on a heroic play that brought his hometown of Coldwater the State Championship they had long treasured and desired. Fifteen years later, that quarterback, SCOTT MURPHY (Brian Presley), is a struggling farmer, longing for the life he believed he would have, had fate not intervened.

Icy conditions close area schools

COOPERSVILLE, Mich. - Last night brought a wintry mix of rain, freezing rain, snow and ice to the area and with it came the closing of several area schools including Coopersville Public Schools.

Snow will continue north while freezing rain/sleet will change to snow from north to south along and south of I-96 during the afternoon. Temperatures will continue to fall into the mid to upper 20s.

Celebrating Dr. Seuss' Birthday in Daycare

The daycare program at Coopersville Area Public Schools takes reading very seriously. Students experience many fun activities during March to celebrate Reading Month. Exploring the beloved children's author Dr. Seuss, students in the CAPS daycare make Dr. Seuss hats and eat yummy Green Eggs and Ham. These fun and silly adventures help to inspire the youngsters love of reading.
