I guess I don't need to water my garden!

With the rains today, I will not need to water my garden for a couple of days. (see picture).   There are areas in our front and back yard that we have not been able to mow because of all the rain this year. Last weekend it was dry enough to mow with the tractor/finish mower to get the grass down to about 8 inches tall. I was excited about seeing my lawn finally all mowed to the same height. I will not have to worry about that for awhile. We actually have flowing water in our back yard and standing water in the front yard.  We had so much rain in such a short time, there was no where for the water to go. The water in the pool was overflowing everywhere. I had to empty inches of water out so I could turn the filter on. What an amazing amount of rain. I am listening to WZZM right now and there is a lot of water and storm damage all over West Michigan. Take care everyone!

It's hailing in Marne

It's hailing in Marne

My husband and I went to our grandson's soccer game between Kenowa Hills and Sparta after work today. While they were playing, we could hear thunder in the distance. It didn't take very long before they called the game due to lightning. There were 3 soccer games going and a baseball game. Alot of people leaving all at once. We drove home and got in the house and it starting raining.  Within minutes of the rain starting, the hail came. As I write this story, there is thunder all around us. I love thunderstorms so this could be a fun night.
